Fire extinguisher seals are an essential component of any fire safety program. These seals ensure that fire extinguishers are not tampered with or used before they are needed, which can be critical in preventing fires from spreading and causing damage.
The Plastic Pull Tite seal is a very versatile security seal, and suitable for a wide range of applications. Also known as a fire extinguisher seal, the primary use of this plastic seal is for securely sealing fire extinguishers after their annual test audits. The low break strain allows easy, manual removal in cases of emergency. This anti-tamper seal will wrap around the safety pin of a fire extinguisher handle (valve) and shows that the extinguisher has not been used. Once someone pulls the pin, it will snap and cannot be re-sealed.
This is the best way of showing that an extinguisher is in working order – provided the pressure is still good, these are suitable for use with a variety of safety equipment, including first aid and spill kits. The tag gives a quick indicator if the item has been used, meaning the contents need to be checked.
The box quantity comes in three standard colour choices and each pull tite seal is 228mm long. These also have various other security uses where evidence of tampering is required.
Fire extinguisher seals are small plastic or metal tags that are attached to the locking pin of a fire extinguisher. These tags have a unique identification number and often include information about when the extinguisher was last inspected or serviced.
